You could live in New York City your entire life and never be able to eat at every restaurant it has to offer. Per the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, as of 2014, there were 25,082 restaurants in the City.
And according to one elaborate Quora thread, “Assuming that (a) there is no turnover among restaurants and (b) one eats three meals a day, each one at a new restaurant, it would take 8,361 days to eat at each, which translates into approximately 22.9 years (give or take depending on leap years, etc.).”
So yeah, narrowing down the amazing places that New York City has to offer into a mere day, is no easy feat. And we’re not just talking restaurants here, we’re doing it all. From reading auras in Chinatown to late-night fried chicken in Williamsburg, it’s going to be an adventure-filled 24 hours.
